Listeners to ECU radio have been offered a glimpse into the life of a future student of ECU City.

ECU Broadcasting student, Dan Litjens, hosted ECU Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education), Professor Angela Hill, to explore  what students can expect from the new ECU City when it opens in 2025.

“It is incredibly exciting for students in WA, the City of Perth, and for ECU especially,” said Professor Hill.

“It will be a front door for business and industry to come and provide opportunities for students and also see what our students are capable of.”

Professor Hill highlighted ECU’s mission to be a progressive, diverse and successful university that is committed to continuing the work of the university’s namesake, Edith Cowan, a “progressive pioneer” of her time.

“Students come to ECU because of our really hands-on practical learning and emphasis on inclusion,” Professor Hill explained.

“ECU has a really great reputation for the university that is leading the way in terms of equitable outcomes for students.

“ECU City won’t be an exception for upholding ECU’s standard of education.”

Professor Hill is just one of the experts who took part in the 4-week series of broadcast interviews shared on 89.7 FM community radio station that services the northern suburbs and our students. Tune in at 10am on 29 October to hear the final interview, with Phil Hues from Aurecon, in the ECU City Insights series with ECU broadcasting students.

You can also listen to other ECU City partners including Neil Appleton, Director of Lyons architecture firm and Nick Randell, Stantec’s Lead mechanical engineer.
